BUTCHES & DRAG KINGS

I have heard a number of complaints about there just isn't enough information available which is supportive for butchs.

Because it is nearly impossible to tell, without asking, whether drag kings are butch or genderqueer, I have lumped these categories on this page and upon the request of the specific groups would be glad to move them or repost them to wherever they felt would be a more appropriate location on my site. This is simply my attempt to provide support/information on one general page.

WICKED WOMYN 2006

January 13-16, 2006

It began in 1992 with Seattle's local S/M dykes saying, let's have a conference and invite the whole damn country. We did, and it has grown to be an international, all womyn's event.

I wanted to let you know about our upcoming Wicked Womyn 2006 Conference in Seattle January 13-16, 2006. This conference is going to be the biggest and best one we've had in Seattle since our first Powersurge in 1992. We have secured the same private 32,000 SF space that we had at WW 2002 and it was fabulous. This space will hold our workshops, a very large play space, auctions, entertainment, and social events. A UK message board for butches, femmes and transguys to chat. We've only been running a month and have had to get most of our members from lesbian sites...and so although we have TGbutches we only have one FTM. Drag King Arrested

In late 2002, Antonio Caputo, one of the drag kings who performs with Club Casanova, was arrested on the US/Canada border and held in North Dakota for misrepresenting his gender/identity. He's not a US citizen, so he faces involunary deportation, among other things. It sounds like he has legal aid, but please pass the word to anyone who may be able to further assist, or who you think should know about this case:
